Abbott Lodge Farm is a working dairy farm near Penrith, Cumbria. Visitors can visit their tearoom which serves over 40 flavours of Jersey ice cream made on the farm from the fresh milk. The tearoom also offers a range of light lunches and snacks with hot and cold drinks. As well as this, you can purchase fresh milk directly from the farm itself.
If your children need occupying after their ice cream, they can enjoy the indoor and outdoor play areas. There is plenty of space for them to run around and climb and if the weather is wet, the indoor play area offers an excellent alternative. Children under 8 can also take part in tractor ride circuits!
Family run, Abbott Lodge Farm are eager to produce the best quality ice cream. Their award winning herd is cared for in high quality conditions. They are also passionate about sustainability and have reduced their usage of plastic in favour of glass milk bottles and bio-degradable tubs and spoons.
Walkers and cyclists are always welcome. Dogs are not allowed in the tea room but are welcome outside.
A function room is also available to hire.
The tea is spacious and has room for wheelchairs.
