Akarsu is authentic and furnished in colours of stylish grey and colourful Turkish lighting. The staff are quick and attentive. Once you have finished a drink they are immediately there to clear up and get your order. Their apple tea is very reminiscent of authentic apple tea served in Istanbul. Istanbul, Where they say that the east meets the west. Their aim is to create an authentic “taste of traditional Turkey to our beautiful city”.
The lighting above the tables in Akarsu are very useful to those who find it hard to see in the dark. There is one accesible toilet. The staff are happy to help in anyway they can although they are not trained with either dementia or autism.
Staff are happy to read the menu out to you if you have any disability that means that you cant read. The entryway is level with the pavement and there is enough room to navigate with either a wheelchair or a push chair into the building.
