Alicia Walton is a licensed art therapist located in Carlisle, Cumbria. Walton promotes art therapy as a way of expressing and processing emotions in a manner that is led by the client. Art therapy is an excellent way to catalogue emotions that you may not even realise you are feeling. Furthermore, it is appropriate for anyone! No artistic talent or experience is needed. Overall, art therapy is a creative outlet that encourages clients to explore feelings they may struggle to verbalise, allowing for more effective processing and understanding. Walton has expertise in helping clients who are on the autism spectrum or deal with learning and education disabilities. Additionally, she specialises in anxiety, depression and PTSD.
Walton has worked with a variety of clients in her six years of experience in and out of the NHS. She has worked with children, teens and adults. As well as this, Walton has met her clients as individuals, in couples or in groups. Alicia Walton’s therapy put the person first and develops a humanist and creative approach to their therapy.
