The land was bouget in 1968, while the actual Auckland Walled Gardens themselves opened to the public in 1982.

It is operated by Auckland Project and Auckland Town Council. dogs are welcome in the Gardens however needs to be kept on leads.

they is no disabled parking however this is parking outside the gardens.
