Hosted in Wheelbirks Parlour, Northumberland, Babes in Arms is a wonderful parent support group for parents and carers of young babies. Babes in Arms is also open to soon-to-be parents!
The group meet on the first and third Wednesday of each month between 10am and 12pm to discuss the joys and difficulties of parenting. For peckish parents – the venue, Wheelbirks Parlour, offer a selection of hot and cold food. So as far as feeding yourself goes, don’t worry! You’re all sorted for breakfast, brunch or early lunch.
If you’ve got a sweet tooth, the parlour also serve a handful of sweet treats and sugary delights, including scones, cakes and their famous Homemade Jersey Ice Cream.
Is it too early for ice cream? Maybe. But parenting is hard and the guys at Babes in Arms know that – so I’m sure they won’t judge. Neither will we.
So, if you’re navigating the brand new world of parenting and need some support, or if you’re looking to meet other local parents, join mums of 2 Andrea and Katie for caffeine, cake and good company.

Unfortunately, no.
It runs during school term time only. This means that the group will not be meeting after July 2022, during the summer holidays.
