Warm and comforting.
The t word traditional and the Q word quality are not used at Bells simply because quality is what you should be given and of course fish and ships are a traditional British meal. All bells fish shops have both eat in and take away facilities. The Durham establishment situated in the bustling market square is no different. Both the take away facilities and eat in are separated by two separate entrances. The eat in facilities entryway is complimented with a tranquil fish tank. The window view opens out to the square of DURHAM where you may also hear some of the talents of county Durham.

Whilst the shop floor is on the flat there are two small steps into the eat in facility . There are manageable gaps between the seating for those in wheelchairs to get through. They deliberately take away chairs so that you can wheel your wheelchair under the table or have room for your guide dog to sit comfortably under the table. Sadly there is no braille menu but the willingness of the staff makes up for this problem. They are willing and take the time to read the menu to you. The counter is directly opposite both entryways and one can pay at the table.
