When the public was interviewed Costa Coffee was the favourite of 50% of people in. Costa Coffee Durham is my personal favourite simply because their customer care stood out to me as unusually welcoming. On most days there is a dog bowl provided outside of Costa, however, a drink for my guide dog is always offered. Furthermore, I take full advantage of the costa club beans whenever I return. With each handmade drink you buy you get a bean. After five beans you are entitled to a free drink.
There is a range of food to suit most tastes. The lighting in the room is medium in brightness. The flooring is a soft brown wood and the tables and chairs are a dark wood frame with a burgundy colouring. Food is to be ordered at the counter on the right-hand side of the doors. The toilets are situated a little further from the counter on the right-hand side. There is an outdoor eating area at the front of the café.

Whilst you order at the counter the staff are very willing to take your order to your table if you have any mobility issues. They will also point out where a free seat is in the café. The café entrance is on one level making it easier to move around in a wheelchair. The toilet whilst narrow does have handrails. The lighting is good enough to see your food. Unfortunately, there are no braille menus however, the staff expressed that they are happy to help anyone within reason.
