What is Dunstanburgh Castle?

The Dunstanburgh Castle was built in second decade of the 14th century. The castle was built by Thomas, Earl of Lancaster who was one of the wealthiest nobles in England. It was also modernised in the 1980s under John of Gaunt.

What is there to do?

There are a few different things to do such as:

  • exploring the ruins

  • enjoy the view of the ocean.
