What is Empowerment Consultancy and Training CIC?

Empowerment Consultancy and Training CIC is an equality training provider based in Birtley, County Durham. CIC is an acronym for community interest company. Empowerment works to improve the lives of disabled people because they have a strong social mission. Meanwhile, the CIC offers online and classroom-based training to employers, professionals, and volunteers in the community.

Empowerment is headed up by Darren Taylor and Ian Atkinson, who both have lived experience of disability. Between them, they have a collective 19 years of experience in disability, equality and diversity training.
