Eskdale Campsite is a National Trust-owned campsite. There are 100-level grass pitches that are ideal for tents, campervans and motorhomes. Unfortunately, caravans are not permitted. There is a selection of electric hook-ups available. Additionally, there is an area for backpackers. As well as tent pitches, Eskdale Campsite also offers a range of camping pods that can sleep 3-4 people in cosy, insulated pods. The pods all have electric heaters, lights and a socket with USB ports. Furthermore, large groups are welcome inside their fully equipped camping barn! With comfy camping beds, heating, and a furnished kitchen and dining table it is a great place to relax and unwind with friends. The camping barn also has a log-burning stove for late nights and colder months.
Eskdale Campsite is equipped with its own shop selling basic amenities. Additionally, there is a children’s playground with trampoline and adventure trail on the site. Three pubs are within walking distance and happily welcome site visitors. Scafell Pike and Wastwater are easily accessible from the site. There is a variety of trails and water sports opportunities in the area. Ravenglass is only a short distance away and supplies beautiful scenery, local railway connections and Roman archaeology to explore.
