Green Acres Caravan Park

Green Acres Caravan Park is an adult-only caravan park north of Carlisle. Only a half an hour drive from the Lake District, it’s a great location to set up base if you want to explore Cumbria and the south of Scotland. With several bus links to the surrounding area, visitors can easily head into the historic city of Carlisle, down to the Lakes, and up into the Scottish borders just a few miles away. They offer hardstanding pitches for touring caravans. All pitches are equipped with electric hook-ups. Additionally, Green Acres offer other services such as drinking water taps and grey water drainage.

Furthermore, there is a shower block with underfloor heating and disabled bathroom facilities. Bike hire and caravan washing facilities are available from the main hub. The hub also has internet access for visitors. Similarly, there are coin-operated laundry facilities and a washing-up space. All the facilities are modern and clean.

With all basic amenities and conveniently located near the M6 motorway, Green Acres is a great place to stop off during a long journey without having to listen to the sounds of traffic. Equally, visitors can easily travel over to Carlisle and see sights such as Carlisle Castle and Carlisle Cathedral. The site is also very close to Houghton Hall, a very popular garden centre, restaurant and local food hall. The North Lakes have many hiking and outdoor activity opportunities for people to enjoy. It’s adult only status guarantees peace, quiet and privacy during your stay.

Please contact Green Acres Caravan Park for information on disabled access facilities. The disabled bathroom has a shower seat, wheelchair adapted sink and several railings for visitors to use

The park is incredibly tidy, the ground is level and grass is kept short and easy to traverse. The roads around the site are gravel. There appears to be largely level access into the facility buildings with a slight lip in the doorway.
