An excellent base for hikers and cyclists, Greencarts Campsite is situated with fantastic views across the Northumberland landscape. Just a short walk from Hadrian’s Wall, visitors can enjoy picturesque views and easy access to popular walking trails. The site is equipped with all basic facilities. Additionally, a shop and popular local pub is just a five minute drive away. There are electric and non-electric grass pitches. Furthermore, there are 5 hardstanding pitches for touring caravans. Greencarts welcomes families and well-behaved pets throughout the warmer months.
Greencarts is closely located to several popular sites along Hadrian’s Wall. Visitors can easily join one of several walking trails to the wall. Additionally, Vindolanda Roman fort and village is just a 15-minute drive away and offers tours to eager visitors. As well as the great range of walking and cycling trails, Go Ape Matfen is just a short drive away. Furthermore, a great selection of beaches along the Northumbrian coast are less than an hours drive from the site. The site is also just a half an hour drive to Newcastle.

Greencarts Campsite has disabled access bathroom and shower facilities. The site is situated on a grass field as part of a working farm. There are no level roads or paths to individual pitches and visitors would need to be able to traverse grassy ground that can become slippery when wet.
