A charity providing a broad range of support in the Hartlepool are:
- Luncheon club for people over 55, wanting fun, food and friendship!
- hand in hand, a service providing support to those with additional needs including autism and behavioural issues
- the Evolve project, providing activity based sessions to people aged 16-25 as an ‘alternative to education’. informative and developmental sessions include; IT sessions, arts and crafts, independent and safety skills, music, sensory activities, social and communication skills, cookery, physical activities, gardening, alongside practical visits amongst the local community with the aim of developing life skills
- focus on health, providing support to Hartlepools deaf community in improving physical and emotional health.
- One77; a social enterprise, with opportunities available for all young people aged 13 to 24 years with a focus on disadvantaged individuals.
- SNiP; Special Needs Inclusion Project, the aim of the project is to provide children with differing needs, often profound and multiple disabilities with the opportunity to play, afterschool clubs and transport to and from home with trained staff are also provided. The focus is on inclusion, autonomy (the children often get involved with choices around activities) and development and learning for those involved.
- Active Kidz focuses on physical activity and adventure for those with differing abilities/disabilities.
- STREET project offers a befriending service for young people and individuals with special needs, providing a supportive environment for people to socialise. The aim is to enable people to develop social skills, overcome trauma, and develop self esteem.
- Special Needs Toy Library, providing parents, carers, children and childminders the opportunity to borrow specialist equipment and use in their home or place where children are supported.
