Hartlepool North Sands is a beautiful landscape of golden sands and blue sea. The North Sands is a total of 4.4 miles. In the height of summer, it is a stunning walk. Steetley Pier is situated amongst the sands and is visible all day long. It is reminiscent of Hartlepool’s magnesia industry in the 1930’s. Although aged, its bold structure frames the beachy landscape.
Hartlepool North Sands has no dog walking restrictions, so your furry friend can come along! Behind the beach is the Spion Kop Cemetery. This also makes for a beautiful walk. Fish and chip shops can be found nearby in West View. Other shops can also be found close by.
