This charity was founded in 2007 that is run by volunteers that do fundraising events to help Veterans who used to be soldiers who use to be in the war by raising money for mental health PTSD.

This charity works up and down the country to raise money and awareness by visiting public places. There are various hubs across the country. You can read more about this on they website by clicking here.

Why Help for Hero’s is a really good charity for Veterans?

You can sign up for volunteering using your email address.

You can organise your own bucket collection to raise money for the charity but you most arrange to set up collection points outside by contacting the council. Also, you can have collection points indoors such as shops and shopping centres. And you can set up personal challenges to raise money such as walking so many miles a day.

This charity organises a Winter Sport Series for veterans and their families. This includes individual training for rowing, archery, sitting volleyball, powerlifting, boccia, wheelchair basketball and optional swimming.

They have events across the UK at varies time though out the year.

This charity does lots of stuff around mindfulness and wellbeing including family wellness weekends. They do things such as cycling, walking and planting flowers.

Accessibility

It is inclusive for mental health and physical disabilities all the activities they do.

This means that they do wheelchair friendly sports events such has wheelchair basketball.

There are different hubs around the UK and the events that they organise take place in all regions as they want their events to be accessible to all Veterans.

Team leaders are friendly and they are very helpful, they can answer any questions you have about the cause.
