Hill of Oaks Park

Hill of Oaks is a five-star glamping location on the shores of Lake Windermere. They offer a range of glamping pods and safari tents for guests to enjoy. The pods can sleep up to four and come furnished with soft beds, a kitchenette, a shower room and an outdoor decked seating area. You have a choice between a gentle woodland view or a pod looking over Windermere’s waters. For larger groups, Hill of Oaks offer fully furnished safari tents. These tents come with the same amenities as the glamping pods but with an added lounge area and TV, indoor dining facilities, and a wood-burning stove. Furthermore, the site has its own shop selling essentials and local produce. There is also WIFI onsite. Additionally to this, Hill of Oaks has a bistro selling a selection of coffees and cakes, a children’s playground, and a dog park.

One of their main draws is the direct access to Lake Windermere. Hill of Oaks has 6 jetties and multiple slipways for launching boats directly on to the lake. The scenic atmosphere is private and peaceful, with many trails leading off to popular local walks. Additionally, the town of Bowness-on-Windermere is only a short drive away. Here, visitors can explore a range of attractions and historical sights, as well as restaurants and other amenities.
