Inshanghai but in Durham…

“All you Can Eat” Have you ever been a student and spent all day studying with no time for your food? I certainly have in my opinion this would be the place I would come to satisfy a good day’s work. Decorated in red black and white the atmosphere is of a modern, relaxed and fun dining experience. Many of the waiters are bilingual and there is plenty of food to choose from. The waiting staff mainly welcome you, taking you to a seat and taking your plates away. Signs on the wall remind you to please use the utensils provided to pick up your food and not your hands.  The buffet isn’t labelled but the look of the food itself should entice you to try a dish you never thought you would.  You then pay at the till. The till is situated to the right of the entrance doorway.

Accessibility

The Buffet Restaurant is on one floor and there is enough room to push a wheelchair or pram between the seating areas. There is an accessible toilet that is spacious and clean.

  • Unfortunately, there are three steps up to The Inshanghai restaurant buffet. There is an a-board marking the entryway.
  • There is no braille menu however the staff will take you around the buffet area and describe the food to you.
  • The restaurant depending upon the time you attend can be very loud and some may find this disorientating.
  • There were no flashing lights at the time of my visit.
