Spennymoor Jubilee Park is named after Queen Victoria. in 1989 the park was extended and refurbished.

Before the park came to be it was a mooreland covered with thorns and whin bushes.

In addition, there is artwork in the park that was made by local school.

There is also 4 different parks around the area. These parks are:

  • Byers Green.
  • Kirk Merrington.
  • Tudhoe Moor.
  • Middleston Moor.
