You reach the island of Lindisfarne via a causeway and once there learn all about the ancient monks who built their priory here nearly 1,400 years ago. You are also able to explore Holy Island, which is a natural beauty spot. There is a museum where you can learn about Viking encounters and ruins to explore.
Lindisfarne is reached via a causeway which is covered by the sea twice a day. Please check times of the tides before travelling. The museum is pushchair friendly, though the ground is slightly uneven throughout most of the grounds.
