With a range of different pitches on offer, this working farm has something for every traveller. There are 30 touring caravan pitches with electric hook-ups at Mains Farm Campsite. There are also a number of non-electric and electric tent pitches. Mains Farm Campsite also offer pre-made unfurnished tipis on raised decking with beautiful views over the river Eden. Alternatively, visitors can stay in one of 12 unfurnished camping pods. These pods come with their own outdoor seating area, electricity and heating to welcome glampers year-round. The campsite has its own honesty shop selling basic supplies like kites, fishing nets and marshmallows (a BBQ necessity!). Additionally, there is a outdoor play area for children.
The local village of Kirkoswald is a short walk away and offers a village shop and two pubs. Furthermore, there is lots to do in the area. For example, the Coast-to-Coast cycle trail is only a mile away and transfers can be arranged from Mains Farm Campsite. Also, Rheged Activity Centre is the perfect place to spend a rainy with plenty of indoor activities and shops to explore. Several trails in the Pennines and Lake District are also within easy travel distance, as are sights that include the Settle to Carlisle Railway and Acorn Bank.
