Tucked along the Yorkshire coast, you will find the secluded beach of Marske Sands. Despite sitting between the bustling coastal towns of Redcar and Saltburn, the beach is rather secluded and remains a hidden Yorkshire gem.
Marske Sands Beach is the ideal destination for water-sport enthusiasts. As its 800 metres of pristine waters are ideal for swimming, surfing, boating, fishing and good old paddling. However, there’s still lots for those who don’t want to dip their toes in the water. At low tide, you could also explore a vast area of flat sand. This makes for splendid coastal strolls and is ideal for sandcastle building and general mucking about.
This little-known beach has fewer visitors compared to other Yorkshire beaches, which means you have much more space to enjoy yourself. With wide open spaces, grassy banks and panoramic views out across the North Sea, Marske Sands makes for a tranquil escape from day-to-day life.
