What is The Jorvik Viking centre and its museum?

The Jorvik Viking Centre is a Museum in Northern England that Eric Knows makes it easy to find.

This venue consists of a gallery and ride built above the visible remains of a viking settlement. Furthermore, the centre has done an astonishing job of presenting past lives by using preserved objects and interactive exhibits. Firstly, Jorvik introduces visitors to the vikings in their first gallery. Then, a ride transports visitors around a viking village, complete with figures made from facial reconstructions and a commentary. After that, visitors are free to roam the rest of the galleries, containing insightful artifacts and exhibits.

Jorvik Viking Centre’s website has further details on the booking and prices of Jorvik itself and its surrounding attractions.

As a note, the opening times listed on Eric Knows are those for the 7th of June to the 18th of July. The centre’s opening times from the 19th of July to the 5th of September are 9am – 6pm.
