Just 10 minutes away from Ullswater and Penrith, Orchard Hideaways offer cosy camping pods that are ideal for walkers and cyclists looking for a base of operations. The camping pods sleep between 2 and 4 people and come with heating, lighting and a furnished kitchenette! Each pod has its own outdoor seating area for al fresco dining and some guests can enjoy an enclosed space that is perfect for letting dogs run free. Orchard Hideaway is located in an ancient apple orchard. After exploring the beautiful surroundings, guests can hire The Chill Out, a luxury TV room with sunken seating, a jacuzzi and a sauna. Alternatively, visitors can hire The Sizzle Shack, a Scandinavian style BBQ hut with a flame grill fire.
Ullswater is a 10 minute drive away and is perfect for days out walking and exploring the lake. Orchard Hideaway has its own hub with guides, maps and a vending machines but there is an essentials food shop a 5 minute drive away. The market towns of Keswick and Penrith are also close by and offer many cafés for tourists to explore. Rheged Activity Centre is a 10 minute walk away, it is a perfect place to fill a rainy day with activities and shops for all the family.

There is an adapted wash room that is large and has a folding shower chair and several handrails.
Wooden walkways connect the buildings at Orchard Hideaways. Most of the pods have level or ramp access, some require use of stairs. The are some steps up into the jacuzzi in The Chill Out.
There is no parking directly next to the camping pods.
