Oven Restaurant

The Oven Restaurant décor certainly does not resemble a dark dingy grimy oven, but an inviting, warm and friendly place filled with substantial portions of food. The floor is a monotone deep brown wood. The tables and bar a complimenting mahogany colour. Behind the bar is the peach wallpaper covered in monkeys and leaves. The walls of the bathroom are covered in red roses and leaves patterned wallpaper.

The bathroom sinks are sitting upon mosaic patterned tops. The stairs are steep. There is plenty of daylight coming through the windows out onto the streets of Darlington. The staff add to the friendly atmosphere with their attentiveness and service with a smile. Not to mention, there is also a takeaway service available. However, they differ by promoting responsible drinking with the drink aware team. A link to drink aware is up on their website. So, one can also enjoy in the comfort of one’s home.

Accessibility at Oven Restaurant

There is a small ramp up into the building. There is about enough space in between the seating to help those who are in a wheelchair to get through. Unfortunately, there are no braille or large print menus. Despite this the staff are happy to read them to you if you need this service. Furthermore, although they are not trained specifically to work with those who are neurodivergent, they are happy to help to the best of their ability. Highchairs are available as well as babby changing facilities.
