Known locally as the QEII Park, this 16 hectare lake is surrounded by woodland and grassland.

It is popular for walking, dog walking, picnics and jogging. Tarmac paths and cut grass paths on the eastern side of the park allow good access around the lake.

At times you may also catch organised activities on the lake such as open water swimming, windsurfing and canoeing.

Q Where do we park?

The directions will take you to a car park at the north of the lake. You can also park at Woodhorn Museum
