Romano Park is located in Ingleby Barwick, so easy to get to from the A19, it is home to a large, wooden adventure play area which is suitable for children of all interests and ages. Features are:

  • outdoor assault course style play area
  • rope bridge
  • zip wires
  • balancing wires
  • sand play
  • ‘hill Fort’
  • plenty of picnic tables
  • multi-Use Games Area

There is a large Tescos just around the corner so handy if you forgot anything or if you need a great venue to go to on the way home. Romano Park also sits adjacent to Barwick Pond Local Nature Reserve.

Q Is this wheelchair friendly?

The park has long straight concrete paths so some of it may be wheelchair friendly, the play areas look less accessible with mixed turf/surfaces and soft/sandy ground. Some of paths are not surfaced, and we do not believe there are any accessible toilets or parking.

Q Can you take a picnic?

Romano Park is perfect for picnics!

Q Is there free parking

we couldnt find anywhere to advise on parking, free or otherwise, however knowing the area, there will be places to park nearby. We don't believe there is wheelchair accessible parking available.
