Saltfish Seafood restaurant and bar

Saltfish is certainly an unusual and unique name but one that you will remember. Situated in the Houndgate hotel, you will  remember it because of its atmosphere and food. There is both an adult menu and a children’s menu. The portions of the courses are a reasonable size. The hallway greeting you in to both the hotel and restaurant is bright, wite and clean. The tables are a mahogany brown. The flooring is wood, and the bar is lit up with one relaxing blue line underneath the countertop. The staff greet you and take you to your table. There are a few talking point pictures on the wall. Not to mention, mirrors creating a sense of opulence. There is a reasonable range of food to suit most people’s tastes. This does mean that there are options for those not favouring, or can’t have, seafood. Furthermore, there are plenty of characterful artisanal wines you can choose to drink whilst there. So why not try and have a unique experience at this uniquely named bar and hotel.

Accessibility at Saltfish

The entrance of Saltfish does have a few small steps up into the building. However, once you are in the building the flooring is flat and there is an accessible toilet. There are baby changing facilities as well as highchairs available for those with young family members. Furthermore, whilst there are no braille or large print menus, they are happy to read menus whenever it is needed. However, none of the staff have any specific training to work with those who are neuro divergent they are happy to help whenever possible. There is plenty of room for your guide dog to either lie underneath the table or beside the table.
