A busy beach with lots going on! The beach is sandy beach with dunes, dogs are permitted but there are seasonal restrictions. There is a promenade to walk along with hot drink and ice cream vendors readily available, and you will find toilets at the small car park next to the beach. As with many of the beaches in the Tyneside area there’s plenty of water sports available; sailing, surfing, kayaking to name a few.
Locally there’s lots of attractions. Whether you’re looking for a small amusement park, an indoor bowling alley and soft play, or a large park with its very own miniature train track then this is the place to visit.
