Seaham Beach is a sandy beach with a few rocky areas that also goes by Seaham hall beach. The beach is about a half a mile beyond the north of the town and harbour. The beach is also backed by a paved public walk also known as a promenade.
You are able to walk around a beach and enjoy the view of the sea. The rocky areas are also known to have sea life caught in the pools. You can also walk along the promenade and see the boats in the harbour. While walking around you can also bring your as its pet friendly.
Beachcombers also tend to find smooth and multi-coloured sea glass along the beach. The reason is just over 100 years ago was the one of largest glass factories that was closed in 1920. Another thing beachcombers find are fossils and shells.
You may find a first world war soldier sculpture that locally goes by the name Tommy. The sculpture also looks towards the war memorial.
