Shiremoor Adventure Playground is an adventure playground which caters to all children regardless of their ability. It is community based and managed by the North Tyneside Council. Any children that are over the age of eight don’t need to be accompanied by an adult, however any child under eight must be accompanied by one. if there are any struggles with equipment the friendly staff are always there to lend a helping hand. Also, the playground has a small cafe which sells refreshments, this small cafe ran by local volunteers. Furthermore, there are dedicated days that are specifically for disabled children, contact them for further details.

There are various things at Shiremoor for the children to do at during their time at the playground. These include things such as, using roller skates to climbing and zipwires. In addition, there is an allotment area near the centre that the children can use to look at the various animals or even grow vegetables.

Q What are the opening times?

From Tuesday to Friday they are open from 3-6pm for all.
On Saturdays they are open from 12-4pm for all.
On Monday they are open from 3-6pm for children with additional needs only.
On Sundays they are open from 12-4pm for children with additional needs only.
