Located near Ambleside to the north of Lake Windermere, Skelwith Fold Caravan Park is spread across 130 acres of wildlife-filled grounds. With 300 caravan holiday homes, 150 touring pitches with water and electric hook-ups, there is plenty of space to unwind. As well as that, there are 4 fully furnished glamping ‘hideaways’. Skelwith Fold has its own shop selling a wide variety of essentials and local produce. Additionally, there is a 5 acre recreation ground perfect for picnics and outdoor games. Similarly, there is an adventure playground equipped with swings, a zip wire and an astro-turf pitch. The caravan park also has its own tarn, tucked away for guests to discover. Skelwith Fold is home to many animals, including elusive red squirrels, red deer and badgers! The park has been awarded several environmental awards for their conservation efforts.

Skelwith Fold is located at the top of Lake Windermere, just a couple miles from the lakeshore. Equally, it is approximately 3 miles away from Ambleside, a popular tourist town by Windermere that offers a range of attractions and restaurants. The park is surrounded by 100 acres of woodland. The trees are full of a variety of trails that lead onto neighbouring fells. The location is highly popular with visitors looking to explore the Lake District. Similarly, there are several restaurants and pubs a short walk for the site. Furthermore, there are public transport connections to Ambleside and further on the Bowness-on-Windermere. Here, visitors can visit The World of Beatrix Potter or take a boat ride out onto Lake Windermere.
