About half a mile south of Berwick lies the beach at Spittal. A traditional sandy beach with a promenade lies within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are lots of bird life to see here and it has been known to spot dolphin in the bay. There is nearby parking, and amenities in the village of Spittal and close by in Berwick-upon-Tweed.
