SSAFA are a UK wide armed forces charity, supporting Armed Forces community, their families with practical, physical, mental health needs. This charity covers a whole host of services to help people with the following needs:

  • Housing (including but not limited to residential housing and support for veterans who are homeless or in difficulty)
  • Transitioning from military to civilian life
  •  Women and children supported living
  • Financial support
  • Holidays, and respite for families with disabled children
  • Access to assistance for physically disabled people
  • Support with mental health needs
  • Support with obtaining home furnishings and white goods
  • Financial planning and support
  • Benefits and welfare

Q What support can I receive leaving the services?

Support can be obtained in the following ways:
* advice and support with housing, benefits, financial planning
* emotional support and wellbeing support
* finding a new home
* support with employment
* support for families

Q Can I access support when leaving the criminal justice system

Support given to the whole armed forces community regardless of personal circumstances. Protective and non judgemental support provided. Services can include the following; practical, accommodation, financial, family.
