Used to be called Working Men’s Club then changed to The Big Club, the community hub has events like live music, including tribute bands, christmas grotto at christmas time and also has meetings and special events. The place is located at Newton Aycliffe, it opened in 1969. At the membership bar you can also have soft drinks as will as acholic drinks including beer. lager gin, vodka and wine and snacks including nuts. crisps and pork scratching.
The membership for the membership bar is 5 pound, you can go to The Big Club to apply for a membership.
They have bingo on Thursday night, however, it can be quite loud when live events are on. They also have craft fair events. There are five functions rooms in the building where people can book private events such as parties

The bus stop is a couple of minutes away, there is a ramp at the front door. The front doors are inward double doors for easy wheelchair access.
