The Larches Caravan Park is an award-winning adult-only park. It rests on the fringes of the idyllic Lake District National Park. With grass and hardstanding pitches available, couples can enjoy a range of facilities. All pitches come with electric hook-ups, water and waste facilities. Every pitch is designated their own wetroom including toilet and shower. This allows visitors to enjoy their morning routine, queue free. They also offer 10 holiday homes that come fully furnished and heated. Similarly, some pitches are able to host tents. Dogs are welcome on site as long as they are well-behaved. The Larches prides itself on being a peaceful escape for couples. They do not allow bookings and encourage visitors to take the time to quietly enjoy the outdoors. The Co-op is 10 minutes away and the Greyhound Inn is a 5 minute journey.

The Larches Caravan Park is surrounded by vibrant fields and wildlife. Eagle-eyed visitors can look out for red squirrels and buzzards that often roam the park. The park is a 10 minute drive to the northern edge of the Lake District, it is also a 20 minute drive to the delightful Solway Coast. There are plenty of local trails and fishing locations in the surrounding area. Additionally, popular tourist spots like Cockermouth are but a 15 minute drive away. The Larches is perfectly situated to explore the history of the Lake District and its many prominent figures such as William Wordsworth. Other local highlights include Hadrian’s Wall (25 minutes) and Aira Force Waterfall (40 minutes)

The roads and paths are level access and coated in tarmac. Some pitches are grassy but they are also flat and kept neatly cut. In wet weather they could become slippery. The main buildings are wheelchair accessible. However, the holiday homes have a short staircase to access.
