Located in Times Square, at the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne, the Life Science Centre is an excellent day out for families and science-loving adults. The Life Science Centre attracts around 300,000 annual visitors who receive fascinating insights into science and technology via events, exhibitions, and fun activities.
Having closed its doors due to Covid-19 restrictions, the Life Science Centre plans to reopen on Saturday 10th July 2021. The centre is a registered charity, and its operations are funded via ticket sales. An adult ticket costs £12, a child ticket (5-17) costs £7.50, and a family ticket (2 adults and 2 children, or 1 adult and 3 children) costs £31. If your family plans to visit more than 3 times within a year, it is cheaper to buy an annual membership. Children under the age of 5 have free entry, but their free tickets must be pre-booked on the website.
Your ticket gives you access to themed activities, the Experiment Zone, The Brain Zone, the largest planetarium in the North of England, the Young Explorers’ Zone, the Curiosity Zone, and a 3D motion simulator ride.
The centre offers free admission for the carer of a person with additional needs, but you must bring proof of entitlement.
