The Miners Arms pub is based in Coundon near Bishop Auckland is also owned by West Auckland Brewery Limited. Furthermore, The brewery was built in 1840 By JH Taplin and it also then became Cameron’s Brewery in 1959 when it opened as a public house.

  • You can also watch all kinds of live sports from boxing matches to Premier League football matches and horse racing. It has also got all the Sky Sports and TNT Sports channels in the pub and it shows UFC Matches too.
  • You can also have a fun sing along on the karaoke every weekend!
  • Disco And karaoke is also on during the week and every weekend until late.
  • There’s a live singer on every Sunday afternoon at the Sunday Club.
  • Furthermore, you can also sit outside in the beer garden.
  • You can have a game of pool on the pool table and play dominoes.
  • You can also have a game of darts on the dart board.
  • You can listen to music and they have a jukebox.

Furthermore, this pub doesn’t have a disabled toilet but it is all on one level so it is easy to get a wheelchair in and out. There is a step to get to the beer garden from the main bar area.  Additionally, it is a one-minute walk from the nearest bus stop, where you can catch the Number 56 bus service  from Coundon to Bishop Auckland and Durham. On top of that, another bus service you can get is the number 99 bus to Spennymoor from Collingwood Street bus stop.

It is a autism-friendly place too.
