The Old Post Office Campsite has welcomed guests for over 5- years. There is a range of hardstanding pitches for tourers with electric hook-ups. As well as tent pitches (also with the option for electric hook-ups). Directly next to the River Irt, The Old Post Office has several riverside pitches and guests are welcome to fish for salmon and trout from it’s banks. It is a quaint and peaceful area with many connections to local amenities. Please be aware that showering and laundry facilities are coin-operated.
Furthermore, The Bridge Inn and The Woodlands Tearoom are only a short walk away and cater well to visitors who do not want to cook. Golf and horse riding centres are also found in the wider area. The Old Post Office Campsite is excellently located near popular Lake District sights such as Wasdale Valley and Scafell Pike. Therefore, guests have easy access to many outdoor activities and walking routes through the scenic Lake District landscape.

The disabled access bathroom is spacious, wheelchair accessible and has showering and toilet facilities. The Old Post Office Campsite is on a grass field with gravel roads. It is mostly level ground. Furthermore, the washing up facilities are not at wheelchair accessible height. Please contact the site for more details.
