The decor at the Pancake Cafe Durham is both Bijou and quirky, featuring animal paintings and scenes of home on the walls and doors. One wall even has a little mouse running up on the top shelf of a dressing table. The portions at the Pancake Cafe Durham are extremely generous and the staff always wear happy smiles. The menu includes American delights, such as a Dr Pepper ice cream float, as well as traditional English lemon and sugar pancakes. They also serve savoury pancakes. The back wall bench is covered in comforting cushions of different colours. There is only one bench available outside for seating.

The Pancake Café Durham has only one toilet available, which is accessible. While the staff may not be trained in dementia or autism, they are always willing to serve their customers to the best of their ability. Unfortunately, there is no braille menu, but the staff are more than happy to read the menu to you. Additionally, the menu is not laminated, which makes it easier to scan and read.
