The Quiet Site is a multi-awarding award-winning camping, glamping and caravan site that has been open for over 50 years. The site overlooks Ullswater and offers a range of hardstanding pitches, tent pitches and camping pods. The hardstanding pitches come with electric hook-ups, as do all tent pitches in two fields with excellent views and easy access to amenities. Furthermore, the glamping burrows nestle guests underground. With bathrooms, the glamping pods also have covered patios and seating areas for visitors to enjoy. For something more low-key, The Quiet Site also offer a selection of camping pods and bell tents. The pods have decking, lighting and spaces to charge devices. Similarly, the bell pods also have charging stations.

The Quiet Site is perfectly located to enjoy Ullswater to the fullest. The site is equipped with its own shop, games room and pub for visitors to enjoy everyday. Additionally, a circular 8-mile hiking route passes through the site and takes guests through to sights such as Aira Force, and access to Helvellyn and Blencathra. The Ullswater Way also takes visitors around the entirety of the lake with access to the various steamers that can take you out onto the water itself. Furthermore, various historic points of interest are never too far away. For example, Lowther Castle is just a 20 minute drive away.

Accessibility:

There is level access to the main services at The Quiet Site. Additionally, there is level access into the glamping burrows. There is a slight step into the camping pods and they are quite small for wheelchair bound individuals. The majority of the park is made up of fields, however the roads are smooth tarmac and are on only a slight slope. There is broadly easy access around the site. BBQ stands are available from the site, no fires on the ground are allowed.

There is a limited number of dogs allowed per family. Additionally, some of the pitches do not allow dogs. Please check whilst booking.
