Waterstones Carlisle is located centrally on Scotch Street. Here, visitors can explore a wide range of fiction and non-fiction across their two floors. There is a large children’s section accounting for a variety of ages. As well as this there is a selection of stuffed animals and board games for sale. Additionally, there is a popular comic book section that is perfect for people looking for something a bit different. Upstairs is largely non-fiction and includes a range of guides and maps for the local area.
Furthermore, there is a well-sized cookery section that backs onto a café. Waterstones’ café offers a range of hot and cold drinks, light lunches and sweet treats. The café is a popular place to have lunch with friends or work using their free WIFI. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming. All the staff are very friendly and eager to help with anything book or coffee-related.
