Waterstones Durham is one of two stores in Durham. This shop is popular with the local population and university students alike. They sell a large range of fiction and non-fiction, including a well-seized children’s section. Furthermore, it is a large shop. They sell a huge array of books in a variety of genres, for example, crime, history, young adult and biography. Also, if you can’t find what you want in person, they offer click and collect from the front counter. As well as books, they stock a good selection of board games, stuffed animals, cards and wrapping paper.
Waterstones Durham is spacious. There are display tables in the centre of the shop and it can get busy during peak hours. However, the shop is generally easy to navigate. Unfortunately, there is no disabled lift access to the first floor. However, the staff are very friendly and would be happy to check if the book you want is upstairs. Alternatively, there is the click and collect option.
The street outside the shop is cobbled. There is bus transport from several locations nearby including North Road. Additionally, there is a multi-story car park just five minutes away.
