YHA Borrowdale is a recommended stop on the Wainwright Coast-to-Coast. Set in a beautiful valley just 7 miles from the tourist town of Keswick, YHA Borrowdale hosts tent pitches and camping pods for visitors to enjoy. Each camping pod has room for two and are furnished with futon beds and an outdoor seating area for BBQs. They are also heated. The grass pitches bank the River Derwent and offer lovely views across the fells. Additionally, they have a retro-style Airstream furnished with beds and electricity. Visitors can enjoy internet access on the site. Additionally, YHA Borrowdale have a relaxing bar and lounge for visitors to occupy. There are also plenty of showering and bathroom facilities, as well as laundry services.
The surrounding area is full of places to explore, from Scafell Pike and Great Gable to the Osprey Viewpoint, there are plenty of hiking and climbing trails to follow. Keswick is a popular tourist destination with a variety of shops and some local museums. The Theatre by the Lake is also close by.

The site has disabled access facilities. YHA Borrowdale has predominately level ground with grass and gravel paths making up the bulk of the site. Additionally, there is level access into the bar and lounge.
The camping pods have a step to access them.
